Tranny problem!!!!! Oh S&@T!!!!!
#1
Alright so I was driving home after work last night and my check engine light comes on. I was like ok something weird just tricked it. well I get to the next stop light and it will not down shift into 1 so it is trying to get up and go but was not moving very far. Colum shifted into first and shifted like that untill I could get home. Went over to my dad's shop this morning before work and it was acting just fine. well it shows up on the code reader that my solinoid b failed???? but it has not done this since last night and I am wondering if I just do a tranny fluid change if it will fix the problem because it has been just fine since i forced it last night to shift. Let me know what could be the problem and if so what will be the best tranny fluid for it. It is a fully built unit by A&A tranny in yukon and I have a 3,500 stall with a tranny cooler. need to know as much info as possible

Yea it's been tuned for everything on the truck. it has happened twice. Does it at the most random times. Everyone I have been talking to has told me it got a little to hot and needs new fluid or it is low on fluid. I am not sure how to go about this situation hopefully some veterens know how to fix the problem will jump on here and tell me what to do.

You have a temp gauge?
Solenoid B... Isn't that one of the codes that gets thrown when you have a very loose converter? Happened to me a few times with this loose verter I got from Iamkeniff. Trans goes into limp mode and starts out in third gear. If you pull over and shut the truck down it will go back to shifting normal, but the SES light will still be on.
What's the exact code? Something like P0757?

not sure exactly what the code is, but when ever it does go into overdrive it locks out really tight, only happened twice since I have had it. No i dont have a tranny gauge but i am getting on this weekend. I will pull the code tonight and post exactly what it is. but i am pretty sure it is soloniod b code becuase it did the exact same thing last time and that is what the code reader pulled up.

I doubt that changing the fluid will cure the intermittant symptom you're experiencing. But, what is the fluid condition? Is it nice and cherry red or is it somewhat dingy brown?
The first thing that comes to mind is your tune. I doubt the solenoid is faulty. But, stranger things have happened. If there is high resistance in the circuit then that itself could cause an issue.
Were you cruising at road speed when it happened, or were you getting up to speed... ie: going through the shift pattern. In other words, what gear were you in and what
mph were you going when it happened?
