It's actually coming off the pins fine -- its just the very peak of the bell housing.

I'm again questioning if I have all the bolts out. How many are there? I've got 7 on the floor. About 11 o'clock,10,8,7,5,4 and 2. Is there one at 12 o'clock (very top peak of the bell)?

I'm converting to an FLT L5 4L80E and 2wd.

Yes, there is a bolt at the very top 12 o'clock position

So there are 8 bolts, not 7? One at 11 and one at 12?

I wasn't sure about the others, but I thought I had read somewhere about the bellhousing bolting to the oil pan.

Weird that there is no bolt in the position symmetrical with no. 3 in the picture above.

Look closely at the block. If there was a hole tapped there, it would protrude right into Cylinder 8. Which would be a "minor" detail
