my tranny is messing up and i dont know what it is at 60 ill mash it to the floor it will downshift into passing gear and about 2-3 seconds into passing gear the truck will give u a jerk or a shutter it feels like the tranny let go for a second or the torque converter locked up but i dont know anyone have any idea on the problem? any help is much thanked.

The truck:2003 gmc RCSB 5.3 64,000 miles 100% stock

What gear is this in when this happens? Maybe an input sprag. Need more info. Vince

 

its in 3rd gear when it shutters

 

Try doing the same kick down in the D position and see if you can duplicate the problem

 

i only have 1,2,3,D

 

Well I mean 3 then , Some cars and trucks have 1-2-d-od others have 1-2-3-D the positions are the same just different names
