Default Tranny cooler not making a difference

Installed the B&M Supercooler 24,000 GVW cooler the other day. I was gonna install it in series with the stock radiator cooler and stock "heavy duty" cooler, but I put a nice crack in the heavy duty one trying to take it off, so I just put the B&M in place of the stock one. Flow now goes tranny->stock radiator cooler->B&M->tranny.

I have heard people talk about it bringing the temp down 30* or so, but I was driving today 80* ambient temp, and my tranny showed 180 degrees, just like it did before. The only thing I can think is that my fluid was already kind of a brownish color instead of the red it should be...would that make any difference in how it cools? Did I not get a big enough one? Is this how it's supposed to be? Any other ideas?

well it should make some kinda difference. top line from rad should be going straight to the cooler. then from the cooler to the top rad connection and then the bottom line to the tranny. it should have made a difference. did you say the fluid is brown. that fluid should not be brown. it should be a tiny bit darker red but not brown. if the color is brown or real dark then there might be a problem.

I think I need a fluid flush...the tranny shop told me last time it was kinda burnt, which is what made me decide to get the cooler in the first place, then they just changed the stuff in the pan instead of flushing it. A-holes.

I'll check and make sure I didn't put it in before the stock radiator cooler, but I got flow direction from a couple of people and I was pretty sure I did it right. Guess I'll have to start it up with the hoses off and see which one spews.
