Default Tranny ?

For you guys with tuning software, or anyone for that matter. What speeds and throttle % are you setting your converter to unlock at in 4th? I can built a decent amount of boost in OD w/the converter still locked and I think it is causing my occasional KR in those areas due to the very high load. Any input?

Same here. Just noticed going up steep mountain pass. Converter locked, 50-55mph. lugging. Do not notice on fairly level ground, but it is hard to hear at best.

Well I cant hear mine just getting 1-2degrees on the scanner, I am not really worried about 1-2 but at the same time I would like to get rid of it.

Anyone else? Today I spent some time on VCM editor and changed around my tranny shift tables, mainly in 3-4 and 4-3 and the TCC lockup tables. I set it up so it unlocks the converter and downshifts a little sooner, I felt that before it was putting to much load on it before it downshifted or unlocked. With my blower I can make boost very early and at low rpm so I figured it wouldnt hurt to take away some of the high load by downshifting it at a earlier TPS. Havent had a chance to drive it since changing it but I will tom.

I am looking to lower my %TPS to get the converter to unlock a little easier. I pretty much want the converter to unlock when I press the pedal instantly.

Currently I am set for the TC to release at:
% TPS MPH
12.50 38
18.75 38
25.00 38
31.25 40.5
37.50 46
43.75 51.5
50.00 57.5
56.25 63
62.50 + 72.5

So if I'm reading my scales right, the top numbers would mean that if I'm going 38mph (in 4th, converter locked) my TC will unlock when I apply 12.50+% pedal and at 72.5+mph I have to give it 62.50+% pedal to get the TC to unlock. Make sense?
From 72.5mph on up all seetings are 62.50% TPS.

I think I'm going to drop all the TPS% settings about 25% and see how it feels.
