I have the lakewoods and with sevral different setups, I still get hop... thats why I'm going with some different type bars... just my .02

No one has any success with the spring clamps? I have mine on the way...gonna give them a shot before installing the CalTracs...

the clamps help to an extent but they dont control wheel hop 100% IMO, a bar similar to the cal tracs is your best bet... I just think they are too proud of them. thats why I'm building my own set and improving on their design a little... making it more truck specific... I'll keep you guys updated.

i had to modify my belltech hangers though for them to clear.

Never really did a before and after. It felt like they slowed me down at first, had to do some tweaking. You would be surprised at the potiential of a leaf spring setup. I did a assload of looking around etc. There are alot of other options than standard slappers, but they are simple and effective.

I had the lakewood on mine and maneged a 1.63 and ran a 10.83 with them. now i got cal-tracs but havent had a chance to go run at the track but in the street the lakewoods trac bars work alot better.

I typically clamp my rear springs when I go to the track. It was noticeable. The clamps let me "pre-load" the springs which actually heald down my front tires a little better on launch. I have no real before and after data because I did a lot of changes. I figured some flat stock and a few bolts from Lowes was a hell of alot cheaper than Cal-tracs.

I just may do the Cal-tracs route if I can't get my DR's to hook in the fall.

i had the universal lakewoods on my 2001 reg cab dakota, 4.7, 5spd., 3/5 DJM drop
went from 15.2 to 14.7. still chirped the tires in third, lol.
