Default Traction bar

So over the last month or so I have been doing quite a bit of searching and reading up on traction/anti wrap bars. After I did the long tubes and intake manifold, I really noticed a lot of wheel hop when I stab the throttle from anything under 35-40mph. Came to the conclusion that a single anti wrap style bar would be the best option for me to keep the maximum amount of ground clearance, travel, and limit binding up on articulation while off road.

I talked to Dan and he has this bar on his truck:
https://www.offroaddesign.com/radius...ction-bar.html

Clearly it works, and he said he has no problems with binding.

I wanted to try my hand at building my own. Have time now and I figured I could probably save some money building it myself, even if I had to make a revision or two. Got some dimensions from Dan on the particulars of his bar.

I have a couple questions here.. where the hell am I gonna mount a crossmember for the shackle to mount to for the front end of the bar? Secondly, with the way the exhaust is routed, might it actually be better off to do dual bars from the bottom of the spring mount to the frame?

When I did my research years ago I found Pirate 4x4 more helpful on this particular subject. However I must warn you they are typically more savage than the experts here.

Also you could reroute your exhaust. Mine is setup funky because of the lack of space with the traction bar.

I run cognito 50" traction bars. They would be super easy to make.

I will dip the old toe into pirate4x4.

Rerouting the exhaust is definitely something I wouldn't mind doing. I have been wanting to change things up with it anyway so that would be the perfect excuse lol.

Would you mind posting up a couple pics? I assume they go from the lower spring mount to the frame?

The dual bars like that would be much easier to fab than getting angles and geometry of a single triangulated bar perfect without a **** ton of trial and error.

Got this recommendation from pirate4x4. At 295$ for a 60" lower bar, which I think may be longer than needed for me, seems like a hard deal to pass up.

I am gonna give them a call Monday and see if they have any advice on length or any other opinions on anything really.

That looks nice and cheap! The longer the better from what I've read.

I don't see any reason to not purchase them. Still gonna give them a call for some recommendations on length and go from there.

Hoping to have them ordered up next week.

So I talked to one of the guys at WFO today. He was saying that bar would work and do what I need, but definitely overkill for a street driven truck. They had crawlers more in mind when they designed it.

As far as length, he recommended the front shackle be as close to the output on the t-case as possible.

There is already a crossmember just behind the output that is boxed and I think would work out perfect for mounting. Just went out and measured, which is a pain in the *** on your own to get an accurate measurement, and from the front of the axle tube to the center of the crossmember is just short of 6'. They only offer 5' as their longest option. Will just have to give them a call and see if they can build one for me in the exact length I need.

Pretty sure I will have to end up changing the exhaust at the very least from the muffler back. But I have already been wanting to redo the exhaust since I did the headers anyway
