Towing 2500lbs with a Vig. 3200??

Towing 2500lbs with a Vig. 3200??
My boat weighs 2500lbs. total weight( boat motor & trailor). Am I just asking for trouble to tow my boat with my Vig.( 3.90 gears )? Do any of you Vig. owners tow with yours?
