Default Torque Management vs. Shift Pressure

Slowly but surely I've been getting into tuning my 4L80E shifts. It has an HD-2 shift kit so I zeroed out the desired shift times. I'd like to adjust the firmness now. It seems like I can do this with shift pressure or torque management. Is one preferred over the other? I realize they are achieved via different methods, but is one preferred over the other to adjust shift firmness?

Does reducing the shift pressure also reduce the holding pressure of the clutch?
