Default Torque management

Whats the happy medium between durability and performance? 50/50 ????

Going to get my truck tuned in a week or so. I will have a shift kit, TB I6 converter, 4.10's, LT's, true duals, H/C, CAI, etc, etc all in a 06 CrewCab 5.3L

mines holding up with 100% removed, being less than 1k miles on the tune, but others seem to have the same luck after a few years, vette servo is cheap assurance as well
why are you selling the turbo kit

Thanks guys, I also got the vette servo too and will be doing it at the same time as the verter and shift kit.

I'm selling the turbo kit since its for a F-Body and don't have my Bird anymore.

I am doing heads and cam on the truck. You guys are running bolt on's only or H/C too? So even if I go about 75-80% that might be enough?

I remember reading a long post about a guy who had his truck H/C with supporting mods and was looking for a cheap .1 in the 1/4. He had around 75-80% T/M tuned out already. When he removed it all 100% and went back to the track it did nothing. This believes me to say that at that point it is worth nothing than lessing the durability on the drivetrain not?

Thanks again guys!

Some like to start with all of the TM removed, then add it in to reduce tire spin on the shifts. Or you can go the other way and remove it until you get too much spin. I think 20% is a good starting point. I have about 70% removed, but my tranny just has the vette servo.

Mines been 100% removed for three years with approx 30-40, 150 shot bottles ran through the motor and it is perfectly fine.
