Vig said that their converter wasn't really a towing converter and only light loads if any. So I guess that ones out the window. I e-mailed them back and asked them if they had one more for what I need. I also e-mailed yank and asked them about the SC2800 and SC2600. Waiting on a response from them. I am still curious as to how the stocker would do. I can brake stall the stocker to around 2200 in 4wd with the blower at 1-2PSI.

I have a Vig 2400 triple disc and I tow 5,000lbs about once a month. I have towed for about 10K on my FLT out of the 45K it now has on it total. Now it is not a super heavy load but it tows fine and I don't have any issues to date. I told Chuck @ FLT I would be towing and this is what he and Vig came up with. I'm a believer.

I think any good brand stall at about 24-2600 would work for you.

Precision makes a quality TC, if you get the FLT tranny and FLT puts em' in their trannys I can't see how you could go wrong. I love mine. We have diff. applications but still, add it all up:

1.) FLT uses this product in their Trans.
2.) Billet construction, triple disk
3.) 1 free restall if you need it
4.) 2 yr. Warranty

JMO.......

Vig, I have a 9.5" Triple Disk 3200 and it is relatively tight for being such an aggresive converter. I've towed with it before and loaded the hell out of the truck.

Thanks for all the input fellas. Whatever I get will be in the 2600 range. Yank replied and said they could make it tighter if I wanted, such as 2600 or 2800. I definately wanna shell out the extra money for a good converter, I don't wanna cheap out on that. Both seem like great candidates. The question is which one.

I re-installed my stock converter when I had everything apart. For a 100% launch I definetly need a higher stall but with all the assorted driving I do, the stock works well. This is an 80e by the way. Yank and PI seem to be like the EFI live vs. HP tuners.
