Tie rod flip kit??!!

let us know if it works, theoretically it should work, dont know if the guy at DJM knew what he was talking about when i called. if it does work i'll be searching for a kit too (at least the inserts)

oh yeah, it worked nicely. very little bump steer. more solid steering and control when changing lanes ect. if you can get the inserts, I will sell you the rest of my kit. or...a machine shop could make the inserts, and you can buy a tap and big drill bit. the tap is 3/4" x 20. I also have a extra tie rod end if you want to get a insert made.


no pics.....sorry guys I was in a hurry. basicly took it back to a stock tierod level

Too bad that they discontinued that kit, I was just looking at it online the other day (for future reference). Seems like the feedback that I've seen about the flip kit has been positive...I wonder where DJM is getting their info that it doesn't work? Maybe some customers with extreme drops had their expectations too high and bitched that they didn't work...

i can get all of the taps, dies and drill bits i want at work, the inserts is the only thing i need. glad it worked for you.

I know this is an old thread that somebody bumped but ...
I am actually amazed you found this to work...?
What was used to lower your truck?
The tie rod needs to remain parallel to the plane of the lower control arm, not necessarily level with the ground.
The tie rod flip seems like it would actually CREATE bump steer by altering its path to not match that of the lower control arm.
