i don't even know what the topic is now, i was hoping some of it would move east my way
so i can play too.

4:10's would be a good way to go.

Kind of a 4:10 topic that has gone wild.

The jump from 3.73 to 4.10 isnt all that much. I say go for it. I made the change from 3.42 to 4.10 and it was not noticeable in gas mileage or freeway RPM but the acceleration is happier.

i agree with goldenvelvet. i jumped from 42's to 73's then to the 10's. and i like the 4.10's the best. my mileage has not gone down and it pulls a lot better at any rpm. only thing you should be aware of is it will lower your downshift spots. my sweet spots are 20 to 28 and 45 to 56 or so. at least thats were i get the best downshifts

Are you running 3.73's right now? I went from 3.42's to 3.90's in my 04 half-crew and couldn't be happier. Lost a little mileage initially, but now with my cam and all mods I am just about the same as when the truck was new. If I keep it down around 70 on the highways, which is the majority of my driving, I get about 19 mpg.
