Default Which TH400 Yoke for a 2wd 4L80e swap, Long or Short???

Well i have been searching threads for days, every single thread i found people post links to ebay ads that no longer exist, and no one has mentioned whether it was the long or short TH400 yoke. The threads that do mention which one to buy, some say short some say long...

I have a RCSB 2wd and I just want to know if it is the short or long...

Thanks

Th400 long yoke. I think we cut 5/8 off mine to make it work. And that all I had to do with the drive shaft

As far as I'm concerned the more the better. With your output I would think that a long spline would be best. Now do we go vented or non-vented?

My flt lvl 4 4l80e would not take the long one...I ended up using the short one and never tore anything up

I think i figured out what i am going todo. It is gonna take a little time to get it right but in the end it will be correct and strong. Since my truck is my daily i have todo it this way:

1. Buy an ebay th400 long style yoke for the stock 1330 inside clip driveshaft. Install the yoke shorten slightly.

2. When i redo my rearend gears (next) buy the 1350 pinion yoke and bastard ujoint, reinstall factory DS.

3. Order a custom 3.5 steell DS with new 1350 yoke with all the proper measurements, the. Let the truck eat finally.

Hopefully after #3 i can finally do a 100% run down the track. Since i have had the lq9 i have never had a 100% pass down the track. All other passes i have been babbying it off the line. With my new CircleD 3C 3600 verter i am hoping for at least 1.7s 60fts

That's pretty much my plan too...Just to let you know and maybe not worry as much, I hit my truck with around 250 off the line and never had a problem

Ya one problem i have is that my rear gears have a ton of slop in them. That is the main reason i have been babying it. That was gonna be my next mod but i broke the trans and decided to build the 80

I remember my stock 2001 driveshaft had 3r u joints. You can always use a conversion joint if you can't find a 32 spline/3r yoke.
