Default TC Issues??

Well i dont know whats going on.
I noticed the other day that my converter has been acting weird, it seems as if its slipping when it locks up.
It seems as if it is getting worse too!
It did throw code p1870, i cleared it and it didnt help with the slippage.
Tranny fluid looks good and is clean
what are the chances that the lockup clutch is going out in the verter?
I have a brand new stall i guess i will install.
BTW tranny is a FLT65e.

Any ideas??
