Question TBSS 14bolt going into OBS tahoe

Been lurking this site for a long time, but finally have a question for you guys.
I have a 1995 4door 2wd 5lug tahoe. TBI 350 with some good mods (whipple, longtubes and exhaust, elec fans, etc etc) Currently it has the factory 10bolt g80 3.73s. I took it out of the truck do to a nice sandblast, repaint, flipkit and SSBC drum to disc conversion. When i took off the Diff cover to pull out the axle shafts, noticed the gears had a bit of scoring to them and arnt looking the greatest. So i mapped out some prices on to fix the 10 bolt to really hold the power or to go with a 14 bolt or something along those lines.

Found a local TBSS 14bolt 4.10s, disc brakes etc etc low mileage. Only a couple hundred bucks right. Not sure if anyone's put a TBSS 14bolt in a OBS 2wd drive, but its got to be possible correct? Ill need to get the lug holes on the TBSS rear end welded shut and re-drilled to a 5x5 bolt pattern due to the 2wd. Also i will not be changing rims during this build.
Does anyone have any good advice for this build or know where i can find some information?
Flange to flange on the 14bolt is roughly 59inches
flange to flange on the 10 bolt is roughly 60.5 inches..

Thanks in advance!! I need this installation done this week if i can haha

Axles it turns out are relatively straight-forward to make work on any application...the biggest thing is usually brakes, but if its disc to disc or drum to drum its still pretty easy. Things to measure would be spring perch distance and shock mount distance. Also you may need a conversion ujoint to fit the 14b yoke to your dshaft. Since the WMS distances are almost the same you shouldnt have any clearance problems with your current wheels and leaf springs so no need for spacers.

Not sure...if you are going to keep the leafs on your truck, I suggest getting new spring perches to have welded on....ruffstuffspecialities sells a good 14bolt swap kit with ubolts, plates, perches, and shock mounts.

you can make it work...just gonna take some custom fab work.

look for an obs z71 14 bolt and redo the bolt pattern. the best would be an old 454ss rear end. 5 lug 14 bolt, but not too easy to find.
