Default TB stalls same as pickup???

Sis just picked up an '04 Trailblazer with a 5.3L and it stalls at about 17-1800 RPMs, same as my '05 silverado. Are the converters people swapping comming from behind the I6 engine?

The TB stall I put in was physically the same size in diameter as the one I took out.

The higher torque of the the V8s makes the Trailblazer stalls stall higher.

I would rather have a smaller converter. Less weight

I6 TB torque convertors are 11" diameter, 5.3L TC's are 12".

Hmm....maybe I couldn't tell the difference being only an 1". Seemed to take up the same amount of space when I put it back in the original box.

Eh, anyhow I love how it performs.

Its not that big of a difference. The easiest way to tell is the pump section of the TB is welded inside the other half and the truck one is welded outside of it. It is only like 1/2" maybe, but they probably round up.
