I thought a factory nbs 4l60e driveshaft would work with the T56 swap?

I think RCSB needs a new driveshaft, don't quote me on that though.

Dude, I love your truck. I came close to selling mine to either buy yours or build a clone. Thing is absolutely sick.

Default Nv3500 > t56

Just finished up mine a few days ago. Over the NV3500, no comparison !

Driveshaft needs to be shortened by 3 and 3/8 inches. I've heard the 4l60E drive shaft is the same length. I tried finding a used one but had mine shortened with a new trans yoke as the 3500 has a larger output shaft. $220 with new U joints + balance.

If you have the crossmember for the NV3500, and you use the T56, you'll have to take a couple inches off the top and reweld the crossmember.
I wired the Rev lockout right into the stop lights and works great.

Even with the Keisler shift relo, had to move the shifter boot back a little. Got a piece of 14 gauge alum. from the neighbor and made a plate and painted it black. Looks ok.

Only thing I'm not sure of,,, Cruise does not work in 6th, but does in 5th.
Yet there is NO sensor telling the ECM that the trans is in 6th that I know of ?

I have not searched on this yet so there may be an answer.

My truck needed tires so I went with a smaller tire. Yeah I know, might look a lil silly but it's a work truck, whenever I may need it...

I'm curious. To get all of the parts involved with this swap, how much did it cost?

Also, would it be cheaper to find a factory-equipped manual truck and just change the engine? Sorry if this is a dumb question, i'm new to engine/trans swaps.

And, if you paid someone to do the labor, how much would it set you back?

Factory manual trucks only has 5-speeds, not 6-speeds. You will find a lot of people swapping their 5-speeds for 6-speeds. The exact reason why I don't know however.

i believe that cruise doesn't work in 6th because the rpm's drop too low for the speed your going.
