Default Swap Need info

OK Ive got a 2007 classic 2wd, short bed, 4.3 V6, 5-speed, with 3.23 gears. My question is wheter or not this tranny will bolt up to a 5.3. Any help is appreciated.

Do you know the model of the tranny?

A way to look at it in reverse would be to check with GM if a 4L60E can be bolted to the engine or if it uses a different automatic. I'd think the major roadblock would be in the bell bolt pattern followed by a clutch that will fit the tranny and the 5.3 flywheel.

Wish I could help.

a T56 would be a better swap, that 5 speed wont hold behind a 5.3L

find a junkyard T-56 and go from there

Default tranny swap

Yeah it will bolt up and should last fine if you dont speed shift it day in day out ....Just use what you have now and when it pops then do the t56 swap. And a tip would be to do any motor upgrades cam heads and so on before you install the motor...Or even better buy a pre modded motor from someone on here doing a 6.0 swap
