Default stock spring rate

I have Mcgaughys 2" drop spindles with 1" drop coils on the front of my 2000 silverado 2wd and find the front to soft. I phoned Mcgaughys and they couldn't tell me the rate but said it was most likely stock rate only shorter. Does any one what the factory rate is and where i could find a stiffer coil?
