Default Stealerships Pricing Irregularities?!

I go to get the 2WD U-bolts and nuts to lower my back end and here are the prices from two different Chevy dealers for the exact same part number.

Stealership#1-$22.50 each U-bolt, $3.48 for each nut.
Stealership#2-$14.65 each U-bolt, $1.19 for each nut.

WTF?!?!?!? I know they rip you off but dammmmmmmmm.

Not only expensive but how the hell can they be that different?? The dealerships are only 22 miles part!!

Looks like one quoted you the wholesale price. Make sure the part numbers are the same. Dealerships will have different prices sometimes, but that is significant.

Exact same part number was given to both. I could have got them from NAPA cheaper but they had SAE hardware not metric, really did not want to mix and match em.

I often get 40% off from my dealer. Some may just give it to get the business and some may give it after you develop a working relationship with them. Some may never give it. If you have more than one dealer near you then shop around. Don't be afraid to discuss pricing policy with the parts counter guys.

I was pricing a cargo cover for my 02 Tahoe, one dealership quoted me $89, about right. The other quoted me over $300 I usually call the second one to laugh and hang up on them. They don't catch on though.
