Default stall range?

I just had my tranny built up and the stall was put too low, approximately 2200 stall, and it will only jump up to 15-1800rpm when I punch it from a stop and chirp the tires a little (I have heavy 20inch rims and a 4.8) I complained and the shop agreed to stall it higher and add a cooler, but they will put up a fight to go any higher than 2600 . There excuse is that my stock cam is not in the correct power range and I will fry the tranny. I know that there are people here running 3200 stalls in daily drivers. What do you all recommend my stall be set at, I dont spray untill I hit 3000-3500rpm. I dont understand why they are fighting so hard about this, they do primarely shipments so they usually never know what the person is running? They wanted some cam specs of my stock cam but I didnt know at the time. If I have too, I will lie and tell them Im putting in a huge cam next week

I have installed a TCI 3000 in a rcsb 02 w/4.8 and it works great! 4.8's are low on torque anyways, they need a larger converter. You will love a 3000 to 3200 converter!
