Default Stall Advice - TVS2300 Daily Driver

Hey guys wondering if I could get some stall advice for a 4L80e DD that won't see the track and wants a balanced combo on the street that is quick and responsive, but not too violent off idle so I can never put the power to the ground.

The combo will be a 4200lb 2wd truck, 6.2, TVS2300 at 6psi stock pulley, 91 octane, no meth, small custom cam, headers, 3.73s, 275/60/15 street tires (maybe one day I'll run a 275/60/15 drag radial). I was thinking even of using a stock 4L80e 4.3/5.7 gas motor converter which is supposedly a ~2500 stall? If I'm never going to see the track then why use a converter that will significantly hurt my ability to put the power down off idle? I was also considering a Circle D 278mm 2600-2800 stall or even some of the Hughes 2400, Chevrolet Performance, or TCI 2400 stalls. Any thoughts I'd love to hear them!

I always remember that the CTS-V LSA guys pretty much always use a stock converter.

When I had my Whipple I loved my FTI single disk. It was a 3k and tight.

rwd, 30in tire and whatever an ECSB weighs.

It was fun.

No clue at the end. On a 2.5 pulley I made 14psi.

I made 9psi of that 14 at 2,000 rpm.

When I ran 8psi, I made 484 to the tire on a conservative tune.

Try the converter you have first. You might have trouble putting power to the ground with it, and a torque converter with even a slightly higher stall speed would be senseless.

The 278mm converters are pretty inefficient with any real power unfortunately... You will most likely need a step up to a billet unit.

The CTS converter is a touch looser than most stock stuff, but its large diameter and still very efficient up top. It wont work with the 4L80e unfortunately.

In such a light truck I think a single disk is fine. I would probably go with a 258mm thats built 2800ish. You will flash it higher than that, but it will be great up top.

This was my first thought too. If you're not launching it at the track, and you've got a supercharged engine with gobbs of torque right off idle a higher stalled converter may not even be necessary for putting the power down. In fact, it'll be all the more responsive.

Inefficient compared to a stock 80e converter or a 258 mm converter? It surely can't be any worse than the boat anchor stock 80e converter (which I actually don't have because I bought a built trans by itself).
