Glad to hear it's running well Bill. Get some miles on it and we can start making some more adjustments. I left the factory shift tables and lockup tables stock for now and it's set to lock and unlock a lot like that in the 4l80 cals compared to the 4l60 cals. I personally would just want it locking up top of 3rd gear and 4th.

Congrats Bill! I am hoping to get the rest of my parts next week and do my swap in two weeks. How does the turbo like the taller first gear?

Awesome, glad this had a happy ending.
From this point forth the thought of breaking the trans won't have to cross your mind the moment before nailing the throttle. That piece of mind is where your efforts really pay off.

BigKID, the T66 feels AWESOME with the taller 1st gear in the 4L80E... and the Vig 3200 gets things going QUICK!

... some more pics

... yes, the 2 Proflex hoses are my tranny cooler lines on the driver side I 90'd the lines and ran them up and over the tranny. I set this up on my 4L60E and it really cleans up the passenger side... and keeps the lines away from piping... especially when you run a crossover up and then a downpipe down... I just didn't like the tranny lines that close to the hot exhaust.

An ear on the 4L80E touches an aluminum insulation pan on the drivers side...

... a little manipulation of the pan and all is well

... Speed Eng modified crossmember. I purchased it awhile back... it fits OK... but I think would interfere with a deep pan thats in my plans. So, its gonna be replaced with a modified stock crossmember.

Lokar dipstick... and my make shift mount. Came out OK I think. I may come up with a better looking mount later but for now its functional.
