Question Spring vs control arms for a 2" drop?

Are their any advantages to using control arms, over springs for a 2" drop? What are the plus and minus for both?

New coils will help with handling, control arms wont. If you want factory cushy ride, dont do coils.

With control arms you will have a factory like ride. The only thing that will change the ride is shocks. Will coils your ride will be stiffer, but handling will be improved.

Some trucks have a problem with alignment using a 4" control arm, but I didn't have any. For a 2" drop, I don't think you would have a problem getting it aligned though. DJM also sells an upper control arm incase you do have any alignment issues, however, most people don't need it. In my truck I didn't notice any increased bumpsteer, but some do see this too. Unfortunatly the alignment and bumpsteer depend on the particular truck.

I found out today that bumpsteer is easily fixable with a tie rod flip kit, either on a spring or spindle setup. Doing springs next week all the way around for a 2/4.
