$800 including gears and locker is good. Hell even $1000 isnt too horribly bad. I was told 4wheelparts is the best place to get a True Trak. Thats where I got mine. You can also check Ebay. I considered teh Eaton also. Ive had an Auburn. IMO for street use it isnt what Id go with. It worked good in my 4x4 with 35's, but I think the Eaton or True Trak would be better. Like I said I was VERY impressed with the actual carrier. The Eaton is nice too though

Do you guys think that the Auburn would hold up to my tranny? It was responsible for ruining my factory pinion housing and gears. I want something way stronger than stock.

Also, what do you think about going with something bigger? For example, finding a take-out from a HD truck.

I have my Eaton and 4.10 gears in about a year with no issues. Supercharged 6L pushing around 5800lbs.

I had one shop in Jacksonville quote me $1500 out the door for a gear swap of my choice (I have a 3.42 and want to go to 3.73) and the Auburn posi. Do you think that is too much for that kind of work?
