Should I be able to drop the driveshaft with the tires on the ground (suspension loaded)?

I wanted to do another driveline angle measurement to make sure I'm using the right shim.

Truck is lifted up on rhino ramps at all four corners.

I can only move the drive shaft about a 1/2 inch and the u-joint won't clear the pinion carrier.

Do I need a shorter drive shaft, too?

For a kit that was supposed address driveline angle issues, this one sucks.

Got the truck shimmed up so that doesn't shudder/vibrate. However, the driveshaft has to be shortened.

Just not reall happy right now.

You can trim the slip yoke an inch or so. It's not the "proper" way but I know of a ton of people who have done it and have never had an issue. Just clean the sharp end up before putting it back in the trans or transfer case, and make sure the cut is square.

I already sent the driveshaft out for shortening.

Never thought about cutting the yoke. Clever.

To update: Removed the trans mount spacer, added a 4* pinion shim and cut the driveshaft 1.5"

It's much better, but I can still feel a tick of vibration still.

One option I think I'll try, is the flip kit had a 5" or 6" drop option. I'm using the 6" drop option; maybe moving the hangar to the 5" option will help. Anyone want to WAG on that?

Other than that, what other options exist for lowering the rear about 5" on a daily driver?
