it's his truck and works for a tranny shop so rebuilds wouldn't be a problem. He might not go as low as he did before, like I said he forgot about the rubbing. He still has to find the spacers too this may or may not happen

hmm.. sounds really odd to me. I'd like to see this truck as well. And I thought GMRacer took his shafts out? or was that someone else? I recall someone taking their front shafts out just for summer or something.. Correct me if Im wrong.

it's only got 3" drop spindles & blocks right now

GMracer's pics show the shafts in his when it's slammed. He did a shockwave conversion (not sure what that is) and is now going to be 2wd. In order to remove the front shafts mike would have to swap out the transfercase to a autotrack or selectable one. This is also an option that he can consider, I posted this thread to see if anyone had gone that low with the stock drivetrain

with being AWD yes he would have a bunch of additional work. And I know GMracer is completely redoing his truck from the ground up and 2WD.
I do recall someone just pulling the front shafts out of their 4WD.. just too lazy to search right now haha

Might try custom front shafts if no one sells the spacers, might be able to find a different set up.

If you remove the front shafts you have to use 2wd hub assemblies or the front wheel bearings will come apart...

I couldn't agree more, but what do I know...I'm an old guy.

I can maybe see 3" if you want to play with the torsion bars a bit - fine-tuning until you're sure there's no binding or vibration. But to my eyes, a 2/4 on a truck like this is just perfect.

You would have to post up some pictures, but I don't see where spacers would help out. The spacers I believe you are talking about come with a knuckle lift kit? They come with the kit because the replacement knuckles make the track width wider than stock, and they fill the gap to make the shafts longer. He is prolly going through shafts so much because of the sever angles he has on them, 7 inches of drop is alot! Even more so when he's AWD. It's the same thing when you go lifted you can only safely put so much angle on the shafts before you start shreading them.
