Hey guys I am planning on doing a 2wd to 4wd swap on my 04 silverado and need some help. I plan on getting a transfer case, front diff, axles, and driveshafts from an 04 silverado, unless you guys think that theres is a better route. Also is there any tuning with the ecu that needs to be done?

 

the front frame section is different as well; different bumpstop mounts, steering box instead of rack and pinion and a few other things

 

yeah you gotta switch from the springs to the torsion bars, also. depending on the condition of your truck it might be cheaper just to get a z71....

 

Yeah just buy a 4wd.

 

Straight axle could be done.

 

Is it possible to swap a coil spring 2wd truck to torsion bar? aside from having the empty spring bucket and no bumpstops......the holes for the TB crossmember seem to be on the frame right behind the trans crossmember
