Default Shock opinions

Well I havent really seen a lot of people on here discussing different shock info and I'm in dire need of some new shocks with nearly 118k on my stock shocks. Truck is lowered with 2" shackles in the rear and torsion bars are cranked down 1" in the front. I use the truck as my DD so street and high way performance are my #1 priority and i do tow but very rarely, but I do occasionally take the truck to the track and knocking on the door of 11's I'll need something the doesn't lack in performance there either. A good friend of mine that has been working on these heavy turds far longer than I have suggested Bilstein's. Just wanna make sure whatever I end up getting meets my needs for the truck. Any info on what you guys are running and have found to work well please fill me in, my only shock buying experiences in the past were on my lifted z-71 so that doesn't help me at all

Calmax, Edelbrock, KYB shocks are much better than the junk most Chevy's come with.

Z71's come with Bilsteins and i have always swapped them immediately fro Rancho.
