You shouldn't need to do that just with drop shackles. They rarely drop a full 2" anyways.

The only thing you might wanna check is your pinion angle, sometimes it can be a problem after changing hangers.

Im just dealing with the trailing arm drop shackles...but as I have 4 link it shortens the driveline and can pinch the pinion/bearing/tranny seal. Traction is great out of the hole, but all the angles get messy. As I had an aftermarket diff cover and sway, it made for clearance probs (I put shorter sway end links to put the sway back to horizontal and stiffen further) too and the went back to stock cover. I also elected to take the shackles off instead of shortening/getting new d-shaft.
