Default Shifter and Dipstick

Still lookin for parts to finish my S10.

Im lookin for a 4L80E dipstick.. Lokar has one for about $80 and thats all i can find so far.. anybody got some advice?

Also im goin to need a shifter.. cheapest ive found is a B&M Sport shifter for $150.. All i need is something to shift with, no manual shifting or ratchet or anything fancy needed.

Thanks guys..

thats a stocker..

4L80E in a S10 kinda cuts down on firewall clearance
so im goin to have to get something flexable. the stocker is pretty tight fit in my silverado, no way its goin to fit in the Dime

I got the lokar in my truck and its pretty nice. 80 is still pretty expensive for a tube and stick though!

Brent, Is your Lokar accurate? I bought a braided oil dpstick from them and it was not accurate at all so I had to switch back to the stocker

I never really checked if it was accurate. How would you check the accuracy?
My only beef with it is the little filler tube they give you makes a little mess.

If you have the stock dipstick, you can fab up a custom tube using the stocker and/or some flex tubing. During mockup, remove the pan from the trans and have the top of the cross hatching on the stick match up to the case/pan mating surface.
