Default shift selonoid B

I installed Transgo kit and a 3000 stall and now I'm getting a shift selonoid B stuck on. Do you think it could be heat related. It has from the factory an added trans cooler plus the one in the radiator. Can I add another. I have a new sitting from an old project.

What is the code that you are getting? How does the trans work otherwise?

I dont remember the code #. The next time it come up I'll write it down. But it will drive fine until you stop, then it fills like the trans is slippin badly untill it gets up to speed.

Sounds like a limp mode. 3rd gear starts. Get the code and let me know. Vince

PO757 could be one of three things
1- shift solenoid bad
2-sticking shift valve
3-miss leading code caused by stall .
I think the last one is the best bet if the code only showed after the stall , What happens is the PCM comand the shift to third and the shift does happen , However when the PCM looks at the engine RPM and compares to the VSS speed. due to the stall it thinks the shift did not occur because the engien RPM remain to high. To repair this you will need to have your truck tuned and have the test for this code deleted.

I have a Nelson Tune. So what should I have them do or how can I determine if its a bad component? If them remove tthe test for the code what will happen if it goes bad later on?

Just give Allen a call he will know what to do if in fact it is a false code do to the stall. If you are driving it normally, does it throw this code or are you getting on it when it happens? If it is under normal driving it could be the shift solenoid or something happened when you installed the shift kit. If it is only when you are getting on it then there is a chance that it is only being thrown because of the converter.

why do I get the impression that we will be seeing some heated discussions between FLT and Performabuilt on here?

I'm not sure as to what technical advise your post has to do with this thread. Vince
