Default Shackles

I wanted to buy the belltech 2" shackle drop to make the truck level but it says to buy the axle shims. who has done this to their truck yet is that completely neccessary? its a 99 ECSB

I did it on my 2000 ECSB Silverado and my 2005 CCSB Silverado and I didn't use shims. I didn't get any driveline vibration either. The shims are cheap and easy to install, If I were you I would get the shackles and install them. Then If you have driveline vibration get the shim kit.

I have the belltech 2'' drop shackles on my 03 and no axle shims no problems.

i have the belltech leveling kit with no shims on my 2000 ECSB no problems
