Default service 4x4

Alright I searched and came up with nothing for sure, I am guessing (hoping) that my switch is starting to go bad. in 2wd everythings fine and dandy, once Im in 4hi for about a minute the service 4wd light comes on and I cant switch out of 4hi unless I turn the truck off and on again. I am ordering a new switch and hopefully thats it but Im wondering if the actuator is sticking and wont disengage unless power is taken away from it and then back again? Not sure. Thanks in advance for the help-Mike

Also everything seems to be working fine even while its stuck in 4hi, no grinding or binding that I can hear or feel other than normal stuff. I just dont want to take it to the dealer and get bent over.

Do you know any one with a 4x4 truck? If so see if you swap them out to see to see if that is your ploblem before you spend the cash on it.

Mail it to me and I can do it for you, the dealership around me lets you take the truck for a test drive, they did when I test drove my truck. had it for about hour and a half.

OOHH that sucks! It was worth a try... Try the dealership thing and see if thay would let you take it home to show the wife and get her thoughts.
