service 4wd light on and clicking in the front end

service 4wd light on and clicking in the front end
Help me plz I drove my 00 Z71 to lunch today and the service 4wd light came on and it started a clicking sound in the front end. I tried putting it in 4wd and the 2wd light would flash and go off but the 4wd light wouldnt come on any help would be appreciated thanks in advance.
