rearend leak?

Default rearend leak?

was looking under the truck and saw the rearend looked wet. should it be this way? no drips in driveway, just looks wet around the pumpkin. and its gotten worse by the way it looks. is this under the 100,000 mile drive train warrenty? thanks

A little seepage around the rear diff cover is pretty common, that should be considered drivetrain but I'm not sure. I don't believe that your year truck has a drain plug for the rear diff so eventually your cover will have to come off to replace your gear oil though...but hey, if it's covered, might as well get a rear diff service for free

Could also be a pinion seal, its somewhat common i guess on these trucks, i brought mine in for warranty quite awhile back, the service writer said they do see them from time to time.
