Default rear helper spring

question if i was to remove the stock helper spring from the leaf pack on the rear suspension how much would it lower it and is it gunna hurt anything just did a 4frt 4 rear drop and wanna go a little more in rear was suppose to be a 2/4 drop i got it for free ended up being 4inch lower front control arms, any help would be appreciated

I just took mine out while I added long bars. VERY little difference. Can also add to the wheel hop problem if not used with a traction aid to stiffen the rear leafs.

alright thanx man was wondering really need to get atleast and inch outa the rear looks like ill have to back track c-notch and do the flip kit

It will lower your truck the thickness of the leaf, so about 1/2-3/4 of an inch.

You can clamp the leaf springs & get close to another inch lower

Take the middle spring out and leave the overload, put stock shackles on it and will be about a 6" drop

I wouldn't remove the overload leaf. And if you do decide to try clamping it, only do the fronts otherwise it'll ride like a 2x4.

Flip kit and notch is definitely your best option IMO.
