quick tranny wont come off

Default quick tranny wont come off

i got all the bolts off, and everything i can think of, and the trans wont budge. HELP

Make sure you got all the bolts off. There are some at the very top that are hard to get to.

it has two big dowels that hold it. They can be a PITA
Did you unbolt the converter too?

there is a bolt at the 12 O clock positon

First time I pulled my transmission I had to hook a come along to something rearward and use some prying to get it to break free.

If all the bolts are out and it isn't coming off, you need to pry it apart between the back of the block and bell housing. Be gentle not to break the bell housing.. Or you can put two bolts back in towards the top, where they are in but still loose, rock the trans some to free up them from the dowels. THEY ARE USUALLY A PIA

Yes, Make sure you have all three converter bolts off. That would be messy!

i got all 8 bolts of and the TC undone. there are only three TC bolts right? yeah i guess we will just yank that bitch.

I just used retard strength and pushed it backwards and side to side and it came off, slowly but surely

well, got it. used a comealong. that stock tc weighed damn near 40 pounds! FLT should be here by wednesday along with a tt3000 !!!
