Default Quick help

I just installed a transgo shift kit in my Avalanche. I think that everyting is right- but the truck will not go in gear, any. The shifter will move ok and you can hear the detent, but can not catch any gear. I watched the video on the installation and at the end they indicated that you should fill 6 quarts, turn on the engine and then fill another 2. After it warmed up, fill accordingly. I followed and found that I could only get 7 quarts total in. The truck was ideling for about 15 minutes and it looks as though there is an extra quart in there.

One thing that I did was add a Jet 4th servo in at the same time.

I think that everything else is standard.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Later, Jon

Sounds like you popped a fuse. Is everything on the instrument cluster working including the gear indicator?

thanks for the fast help guys.

I checked all of the fuses and they were all good. I dropped the pan and did find that the shifting rod worked its way loose from the piston (good call). I was glad to see that! When I first buttoned it up, I tested it in gear while still on the stands and all was well. It was just not fully seated and worked its way out.

So my thoughts on the Transgo shift kit and the Jet servo......Very good. Worth while investment. I hope that this will help with the life of the trans and assist in towing.

Thanks again, Jon
