The TBTC is a very good affordable stall. Definitely worth the money. I plan on having a bigger stall one day but not until i get a built trans, Dont want to have a nice stall get takin out when the trans goes out. So ive had my TB stall in for about 6 months now and its been great. You can definitely tell a difference over the stock stall. Ive stalled mine to 2600 before my tires start to spin..

Exactly the way I feel, I don't want to have a high dollar stall get taken out if my tranny goes out. I'll get a different stall when I get a built tranny. If I put my truck in 4hi, it will stall to 2600.

im thinking about the Circle D tb stall. Just kinda worried the trans won't hold and its my only DD! But in reality a stall doesn't add power so i don't see how that would stress the trans anymore.....just like me now only in the sweet spot more often!

It is out of a 4.2 TB. From my knowledge there is only one. It is referred to as a 278mm or a 280mm. The sticker code will be VJCX. Not sure on a GM part number.

A higher stall converter will slip more so it will put off more heat. If you get a big Aux cooler to add to the line then you should be safe.

FYI - I keep my Circle D 11" in stock and offer free shipping for PT guys and no core charge. So it is $375 to your door.
