Popping sound when turning

im glad this was posted, i just started experiencing the same things, this may sound stupid or dumb but is there anyway anyone can post a pic of exactly where the cv joint is, mines coming from the front driver side, i can feel it in my steering wheel also. Thanks for any help

I more thing, is it dangerous at all to drive the truck with this problem???

Isn't there a tsb on this? I remember seeing it last time I logged on to alldata, I'll re check tomorrow since mine started making a popping noise too from the drivers side front wheel area, Mine is a 2wd though.

technical service bulletin. Basically Gm acknowledges there is a problem but its not important enough to have a recall.

not saying this guys problem is not cv'ss im 2wd same suspension as 4x4 (suv) and have a erratic popping noise from my front end and had searched and if i remember right the tsb was in regards to the cross member that bolts between the lower a-arms, to remove the bolts clean mounting area and replace hardware (with better than was used in the first place) I'm sure one of the guys can find it.
