Default Please help!!!

Hey guys i brike my driveshaft awhile ago and im fixing to get a new one. Now my question is how should i try to figure out if my trans and rearend are shot? The tail housing is busted.
I figured id replace the tail housing and driveshaft, then try to drive it slowly...
Is that a bad idea. A

All opinions highly appreciated!

Thanks abey.

That is exactly what i would do. Or you could just replace the tailhousing and driveshaft then put the rear up on jack stands and put it in 1st and see if everything seems ok before you drive it.

I would use the jack stand method to be honest. Lets face it if something is damaged your going to know pretty quick when it makes noise or just does not work. If you try to drive it chances are if its going to let go you are more than likely going to need to tow it back. Start out with jack stands and go from there is what I'm trying to say.
