Default Performabuilt whine?

I have a level 2 performabuilt trans in my 99 behind a 4.8 with just bolt ins and a tune. Has a 2600 stall. When you put it in drive or reverse u can hear it whining as soon as u put it in neutral or park it goes away. Does any of your alls do this

Well it comes from about under the trans hump. U can hear it outside so it's pretty loud. Have about 5000 miles on it

I'm experiencing a similar problem in my trans now, but mine has turned into a tumbling rock kind of noise... Was just about to start a thread about it...

Mine had a whine up until I rebuilt iit....it was hairline cracks in my rear planetary, but that may not be your case may be something else. I took mine to work and magnafluxed them is the only reason I was able to see them.
