Ya, my 9.5" performabuilt was supposed to be a 2800, it was loose! Before my previous cams 220/220 114+4 and 222/224 112+2 it would flash to roughly 3000 with low timing coming off the line. With the added compression (10.4ish) from the heads and new cam in sig it acts more like a 3600-3800 still with low timing coming off the line. I have been wanting togo back to the track and up the timing off the line to see what it flashes too.

IMO the TC will flash differently depending on where you make torque.

I will say this my TC is really loose but A LOT of fun to drive, but it costs mpg ...

I dont want a super loose converter because my truck is lifted and i have big heavy wheels and tires... i have the 4.56s but i still dont want a really loose converter. the converter i just had is pretty loose and i really would like a tighter 34-3600 i guess thats how you would say it...

Then stick with the 10.5 and stay away from the 9.5

Quit being a pansy and just order the thing already!!!!!!!!!! You wont be dissapointed!!! I'd go with a 3200 billet convertor with your setup. Then if it flashes a little higher you'll be good.

I had a performabuilt 9.5 3000 that flashed to 3500 but after the cam and heads swap it feels more like 4000. i am thinking about a 2800 now.
