Default P0974

Hey guys, heading home from San Antonio, my trans was acting up, got a code P0974. Felt like i lost lock-up and or 4th. Also seems like it starts in 2nd gear from a stop. Hope someone has dealt with this before. Maybe a bad solenoid?

Its about time for a fluid/filter change as well. If its something in the valve body, i could do it myself and would also install an HD-2 and a few extra sonax parts. Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Update:
I took my truck to my tuner to see what he had to say... he said to check the wiring harness for any nicks in the wires, so i did and didn't see anything in the trans wires that was bad. Im thinking he was a little confused about the problem and was thinking it was an intermittent bug. He seemed sure it wasnt anything inside the transmission. So me being me i said **** it and pulled the pan anyways and replaced the 1-2 solenoid just for the hell of it and filter while i was in there.
Well that did the trick cuz i could instantly tell i had first gear back! I even forgot my scanner so i could clear the codes and all was well. Yay me!
Anyways, maybe this posting will help some else out someday.
