Opinions on cutting drop springs

thanks guy but i will not be using a torch to cut it. I dont want a slammed look either just something more like a " lets fill in the fender gap thing" so either 1-2 inch in the front and i will put a stock shackle to give it the 6" drop.

since i wont be doing much racing in the summer i will work on getting the pinion angle right too.

anyone know where its suppose to be or is it different pinion angle for a dodge compared to chevy

Will 1/4 of a coil on a 2 in drop sring equal 2in since its a drop spring

I doubt it... I'd start with 1/4 coil and go from there... experiment on one side that way the other side will be a one cut deal... no guessing. do the dodges lean like the Chevy's? I cut an extra inch or so off the coil for the pass side for my truck and it sat almost perfectly level.

well we just got done and my boys putting it back together and ill let ya know how it went in a bit


before the drop it was 32.5 inch from ground to bottom of the fender.

just fyi, I have always measured from center of wheel to fender edge to get a consitent measurement

Well we drop it and one side drop 1.5 inches and the other drop only .5 inch so we are going to take a hair off the other side to made it even. I even drove it around hoping it would drop but it didnt.

After ya dropped them by cutting the spring did ya have alingment issues

for an inch I wouldnt worry about it unless it starts wearing tires...
