Default NP246 Clunking?

I was driving my '99 Silverado yesterday and noticed a clunking sound when shifting from drive to reverse. After I got hime, I crawled under the truck to check the universals, which were ok. I did notice some clicking coming from the tcase when I push the rear yoke up and down, don't hear anything when I move it side to side. Is this normal? Fwiw, the truck has only 86k on it. Thanks fellas.
