Now have to get new tranny case
#1
I put in a corvette servo and ran it for 4 days. Great mod and excellent shifts. Well on the 4th day it wouldn't shift into 4th and sounded like it was slipping so i parked it at my house and looked to see what was wrong.well what happened is the split seal on the 4th apply pistion doubled up (as the dealership says). I found that the lip that surrounds the servo cover had been seperated by about 3/4 inch. I now have to get a new tranny case. They are going to replace my transmission case, put in the vette servo again and change some valves to make it shift like i want. The cost the dealership worked was $3200.They are helping me thought it is only costing me at the most $700. What do yall think, and any advice? -By the way anyone thinking about doing the servo don't change your mind, it was a freak accident. DO NOT let this post discourage any of you!!!!!
