Default No lock-up at highway speed

I tried searching for answers but nobody seems to post up what fixed there problem. So my problem is I installed a new Circle-D 3000 stall converter last week monday. I then followed that up with a tune from Justin at Blackbear yesterday. After the tune went to take it on the highway to test it out and the conveter would not lock at all. Now today I took my truck out for a drive today and still the same but I am able to lock it with efi. Now my question is am i looking at something tuning wise or mechanical. I figure if its mechanical I should be able to fix it yet tomorrow. For the truck specs are 1999 Silverado iron 5.7 long tube headers 3000 stall freshened up 4l60E 4x4.
Thanks for any answers in adance

I had one problem with my car like this right after a tune, in OD it would pulse in and out of lock-up, in d it would stay in lock-up normal.

I went back to my tuner and he re-flashed it and all was good again....???? maybe it was a weird voltage spike during the initial download.

I'd say its in the tune, double check the lock-up tables as well, my tuner disables the lock-up during pulls, then has to re-enable it afterwards.

Definitely post up what you find.

the computer reads false misfires and you have to max out the misfire tables in the lower rpm range so the converter will lockup. converter will not lock up with misfires but that is usually when you have a cam. so im not too sure on yours but its worth a try nevertheless

The cam specs are 220/224 @.551" 114lsa. Other then the cam I only have stock 243 heads on an other wise stock short block.

^^^^^ This. I remember having this same issue, but couldnt remember what was causing it. Thats what it was. Misfires, or false misfires rather

Well today I was scanning with efi after uploading a revised tune from blackbear. After driving around a little the lock-up was fine but after 5 minutes it unlocks and stays that way. There is also a code set P1870. Now I had this once before but it never came back. When I drive it with the code set it has harsh 1-2 shift and no lockup. So now that I have a DTC what can be causing this. I also was running the misfire PID and had none come up.

Well I searched around and could not find anything so decided to pull the trans and found the oring on the input shaft was cut and missing a small chunk. Found a new oring from another rebuild kit and installed it. Also install a new TCC valve to fix the P1870 code. After 4.5 hours to pull and reinstall the trans and t-case took it for a drive and all is well can speed-up while locked up no problem.
